Overview

Jothydev's Diabetes and Research Center (JDC) is a leading institution in diabetes care. As JDC expanded its patient base and research initiatives, its existing Hospital Management System (HMS) became a significant liability. The legacy system suffered from an outdated architecture, lacking integration between critical modules like patient records, scheduling, billing, and lab services. This fragmentation led to data redundancy, manual errors, and frustrating delays in patient processing, diverting valuable time from clinical staff that should have been spent on care delivery. JDC needed a robust, secure, and modern digital backbone to support its mission and future expansion.

Netroxe was engaged to execute a complete HMS transformation, aiming for a platform that would be both efficient for staff and non-intrusive for patients.

The Strategic Solution

Our strategy involved designing a new, fully integrated HMS built for scalability and security. Key phases included:

  • System Audit and Data Migration: Meticulously moving historical patient data from the legacy system to the new platform while ensuring data integrity and adherence to health privacy standards

  • Unified EHR Implementation: Establishing a central Electronic Health Records (EHR) system that provides every authorized staff member (doctors, nurses, admin) with a single, comprehensive view of the patient

  • Process Automation: Automating key administrative workflows, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, and complex insurance/billing cycles. This automation also extended to patient engagement features such as appointment reminders and integrating an online payment gateway for seamless transactions

  • Patient-Centric Mobile Application: Development and deployment of a dedicated patient mobile app, providing features like diet control logs, medication schedules, and direct access to online medicine purchasing

Impact on Healthcare Delivery

The successful implementation has drastically improved JDC's operations. The integrated system has reduced patient wait times and simplified complex administrative tasks, freeing up staff to focus on patient well-being. By centralizing data in a secure, accessible format, the new HMS facilitates better clinical decision-making and supports JDC's research efforts.
