Overview

Big Kitchen is a high-volume catering service whose rapid growth began to be hampered by the limitations of its existing operational methods. Managing complex, multi-day orders, tracking perishable inventory, coordinating kitchen production, and scheduling dozens of staff and delivery vehicles were all reliant on a combination of spreadsheets and disconnected software, resulting in costly errors, food wastage, and chaotic scheduling during peak season. This fragmented process was unsustainable and prevented further market expansion.

Netroxe was brought in to architect and implement a single, custom, cloud-based Catering Management System (CMS) to act as the central nervous system for their entire business.

The Solution

The CMS was built as an integrated platform, connecting four previously isolated functions:

  • Sales & CRM: Manages customer inquiries, quote generation, and order bookings through a unified interface

  • Inventory Control: Provides real-time tracking of raw materials and prepared food, generating automated purchase orders based on confirmed future events to minimize waste

  • Production Planning: Automatically translates customer orders into detailed, itemized production schedules, optimizing ingredient use and kitchen labor

  • Logistics: Features an advanced scheduling module that assigns staff, vehicles, and optimizes delivery routes for maximum efficiency and on-time service delivery
